Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information I collect through this website, why I collect it, and the rights you have over it under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who I am
This website is operated by Daniyaal, a web developer based in Cardiff, Wales. I am the data controller for personal information collected through this site. You can contact me at hello@daniyaal.co.uk.
What I collect
- Enquiries: when you use the project enquiry form, I collect your name, email address, and, if you provide them, your organisation, phone number, project requirements, budget range, preferred contact method and desired launch date.
- Direct messages: if you email me or message me on WhatsApp, I receive the details you choose to share.
- Analytics (only with your consent): if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as pages visited, device type and approximate location. See the cookie policy.
How I use it
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss your project (legitimate interests / steps prior to a contract).
- To provide services if we work together (performance of a contract).
- To understand and improve how the website is used, only where you have consented to analytics.
I do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who I share it with
I use trusted service providers to run this website, who process data on my behalf:
- Resend, to deliver enquiry form submissions to my inbox by email.
- My website hosting provider, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to serve the site securely.
- Google (Google Analytics), only if you accept analytics cookies.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations apply.
How long I keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and, if we work together, for the length of the project and any legal or accounting retention period afterwards. Enquiries that don't lead to a project are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email hello@daniyaal.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are validated and processed on the server, and access to enquiries is restricted to me.
Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
